Having worked with the owner at another location in Fort Worth I was anxious to try his new place. Be warned, it does not have the kitchy charm of other German places, but it has gradually begun to take on a charm that is uniquely its own--from the bier steins on one wall to the jukebox featuring German music, along with a growing base of loyal customers. The food itself is some of the best I have ever tasted, harking back to the time we worked together. Have enjoyed the jaeger schnitzel and the Munich style sausage plate. German potatoes were fried to perfection, their sauerkraut is piquant, and the meat entrees burst with flavor. For appetizers the sausage and potato soup is a winner, even on a very hot summer day. For dessert one has to try the apple strudel. Prepared on site it is excellent. Lastly, the wait staff is superb. They are willing to engage their customers with jokes and suggestions about the menu items. Makes for an enjoyable experience. Glad to see a good German restaurant out there.

After spending the better part of 24 years in Germany, I have been searching for cuisine that approximates the authentic flavors of Deutschland. I have visited several restuarants in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. We dined at this establishment yesterday(8/7/11). Until yesterday, I hadn't found anything as authentic as this one. We had sauerbraten with cream spinach and potato salad and jaegerschnitzel with potato dumplings and red cabbage. For dessert we had apfelstruedel with ice cream. Everything was amazingly delicious and authentic. I agree with one other rater. This is the best German food I have ever tasted since coming back!! I am glad the chef opened his own restaurant. His food beats his former employer hands down. I believe excellent food and service is more important than location and ambiance and that is what brings customers back and this place has it. Bravo!!!

Little Germany is no longer BYOB. Matter of fact, the attention to detail was quite nice. Beers severed with a glass are in glass of the brand and are marked for volume (first time I've seen this here and I was impressed). The rouladen was good and the schitzel breading was different but worked very well. The red cabbage had a hint of apple and was a nice difference from some I've had in the past. Spatzle and gravy tied in perfectly. Potato cakes were very good. The apple strudel was more like a cobbler, but very good as well. A place that I hope continues to grow and stay true to the food.

IT IS DEFINITELY THE BEST GERMAN RESTAURANT IN THE DFW AREA AND IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND AS WELL AS AMERICA!!! I ATE THERE YESTERDAY. IT WAS JUST LIKE WHEN I WAS IN GERMANY. I WAS IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE STATIONED THERE FROM 1978 TO 1980 AT ZWEIBRUCKEN AB AND BITBURG AB. I HAD THE JAGERSCHNITZEL WITH RED CABBAGE, GERMAN FRIED POTATOES, SAUERKRAUT, AND TO FINISH IT OFF WITH DESSERT I HAD THEIR GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE. MY MOUTH IS STILL WATERING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.
