New Braunfels FINALLY has a real German restaurant. They offer a great selection of food and beer. It's a friendly, fun atmosphere where the food and service are both excellent. We enjoy going when there is live music so we can do a little dancing too. |

Great place, wonderful atmosphere, great quality and quantity of food for medium pricing. Excellent service, but the tea glasses are way to small for Texans!!!!!! I go there frequently, that being at least once a month. Fabulous!!!!! |

Being German born and having lived in Germany, I have to say that this is the most original German restaurant and best tasting German restaurant I have found in the USA. I have been to many restaurants that claim to be authentic but this place is as real as it gets. Thank you for being close enough to enjoy often!

I have visited many German named restaurants throughout the United States and have only found one that actually has "authentic" German food. Many restaurants state that their food is German, but very few actually have the quality of food one comes to expect from an “authentic” German restaurant.
Friesenhaus does it right! They are authentic and I have yet to find a restaurant that even comes close.
If I had to sum up all my thoughts and feelings about the Friesenhaus restaurant with just one word… that word would be...
“Ausgezeichnet”! |

Wonderful place for an authentic German dinner (sauerbraten and rouladen are my favorites). A good bakery too. Afternoons can be spent there with friends too. It's the best German restaurant in the San Antonio area, even though it's over in New Braunfels. Worth the drive. |

We found this nice restaurant in march 2010. Guenter,his wife Cornelia, and the staff are very nice and the food is very good and real German. We saw a lot of German restaurants in the last years, but the Friesenhaus is really the best. We really recommend the Friesenhaus. |

My family and I LOVE Friesenhaus. The food is great. Service is wonderful. They have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. It is a fun place to take the family. |
