It doesn't get any better than this. Metzger's has the best food, the best beers, the best bartenders, the best waitstaff, the best steins, the best cuckoo clocks...you get the picture. Go there now. |

Metzger's serves the best German food that we have found in the USA. We both lived in Germany. Metzger's is such a fine surprise with their authentic cuisine. Copenhagen Schnitzel and Hasenphefer are favorites of ours. There super moist carrot cake is the best dessert with more than enough to share. |

By far the most authentic German Restaurant we've been to so far in Michigan. |

My wife's mother was a Waitress there in 1936. And she is in the picture with the group of the staff on the front of the menu. We think it a great place to eat and we do at least 5 times a week. |

Metzger's has been my favorite restaurant for 40+ years. I've been eating there since I was a very small child and my parents ate there during their college days at U of M. I know John personally and feel he has done a wonderful job keeping it's original ambiance since the move from downtown. |

I can't turn down the homemade spaetzle. The owner, John, makes this place even better ;) |

Amazing Rouladen and Schnitzel along with some Warsteiner Dunkel. Authentic German flavor you can't find just any where. |
