Had dinner late in 2010. The food was substandard. It was dry and greasy and over priced. Both my wife and I became ill after eating. WILL NEVER GO BACK!! |

Jaegerhaus is part of the "Phoenix Club" German/American club. They are all about authenticity in everything they do. A Great place, and probably the best in Southern "Kalifornia". |

We love this place! Authentic German food; absolutely delicious! Anything you order is just like you're in Germany! The owners are really nice people. Give it a try... you'll be happy you did!!! |

We've been going regularly to Jaegerhaus for over 15 years. All food always excellent and very good value. Hostess/proprietress Sandi is charming, must be Hansel & Gretel's Auntie, be sure to chat with her. She grew up learning to cook German cuisine, oversees everything to be the best. |

Nuanced flavor, texture, presentation, and atmosphere unsurpassed on my travels between California and Berlin. Jagerhaus Restaurant is in Anaheim (Anna's Home, a community founded by early German immigrants to California) near the Phoenix German Club, Verizon Pond (which partially sets on old Phoenix Club property), and Angel Stadium. Every friend or acquaintance introduced to this restaurant, to a person, is almost stunned to speechlessness, it's that good. During the 1984 Olympics the German Counsel gave a reception for the German team at the old Phoenix Club. I was there and met many of the athletes (got their autographs on an 1984 Olympics poster). It was about then Gustof founded Jagerhaus. Sandra Schwaiger purchased it about ten plus years ago and a love fest continues with original staff since then. |

If your going to the jeagerhaus for the food you will be mostly satisfied. for the veal steak spetzle and green beean i ordered. the steak was a good portion and cooked to my specification. the spetzle was good quality and gravy was ok. The green beens on the other hand appeared to come strate from the can and were mushy. The place is located in a 1960s shopping center and shows some were. the facility has a desting smell to it on the inside. Overall they did prepare the distintively german food correctly, however other aspects of the experience need a little help. |
