I have traveled all over the US and the Gasthaus Zur Elli is by far the best German restaurant I have ever visited. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. When you visit, leave plenty of time to enjoy both the meal and the atmosphere. It is worth every minute. Thanks Ms Wendy for the best German food I have ever eaten. |

Wonderful atmosphere, food was great. When I called in the reservation, I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. When we were seated we noticed that my wife's name had been printed on the menu. Very cozy, romantic and inviting experience. A four course meal (order the half portion unless you're REALLY hungry). Soup, salad, entree, and desert. Great beers and desert wine. We found a hidden jewel in Prosperity, SC! |

I have gone to this restaurant about 10 times in the past 2 years, and every time I have been, I have been completely satisfied with everything. The food is amazing, so rich with flavor and quality, and very authentic. It feels like you are in the heart of Bavaria itself. The staff is friendly, and we all love Mrs. Wendy, she makes everyone feel at home, and also makes sure you leave happy. This is by far my favorite restaurant, and I will definitely go back again, many times more!! |

Our family loves Miss Wendy's restaurant. The food is fantastic and service out of this world. If you are in the area, this would be one of the stops you would need to make. German down home cooking at it's best. |

My dad, step-mom, their neighbor and, Bennie, my husband had a great time. Ms. Wendy's food is the best and the service was great. The food is excellent as well as the service. Ms Wendy makes you feel like you just stepped into her kitchen at home. You are not just a customer, you are family in her restaurant. |

Had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Gasthaus zur Elli. We had a marvelous dinning experience. Diane our waitress was absolutely marvelous. Her pleasant and friendly personality made us all feel comfortable and welcome. The meal was delicious. After the meal as we were about to leave, Ms Wendy came out and wished me a happy birthday and chatted for a few minutes, even giving us a tour of her kitchen. It was a most enjoyable dinning experience and we can't wait until we visit again! |

I took German wife here for her birthday and it was excellent. We met with friends and spent 3 and a half hour over dinner. The owner joined our table for some conversation. Although it is a two hour drive we have vowed to make the trip often. Thanks to Windy for a great time and the best german food in America. Tom and Gertrud |
